Stadco has the capability to make the largest panels including high quality exterior panels in steel and aluminium. Tool sizes up to 5.0m can be accommodated in a range of presses up to 2500 tonnes. We make interior and exterior panels for some of the world’s leading automotive brands, including BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover. Structural components and general presswork With over 140 presses in the Group, Stadco can make a wide variety of pressings. Techniques such as in-press application of fasteners and stringent quality control enable Stadco to meet ever increasing cost expectations and still achieve truly world class quality levels. A full suite of simulation tools ensure right-first-time production. Product Engineering Stadco offer a full range of development services, including styling, concept development, CAD & CAE. Stadco Engineering specialises in simulation led fast track development and have designed many automotive systems, up to complete body structures. Assemblies From simple welding and nutting to complete vehicle Body-in-White, Stadco has developed appropriate volume-dependent assembly solutions. At one end of the spectrum, our Saarlouis plant supplies major high volume assemblies to the Ford Focus & C-Max, representing around 1/3 of the body shell. At the other, we supply many assemblies to Aston Martin and Bentley largely through manual and flexible robotic solutions. A core competency of Stadco’s is the design, installation and operation of flexible assembly facilities. Painting & Aftermarket We operate 3 paint plants, 2 Electrophoretic and 1 Powder Coating. This allows us to supply painted Body-in-White components, e.g. for aftermarket requirements, where we offer a true "one-stop-shop" approach of press, assemble, paint & pack. Our largest E-Coat facility paints complete vehicle bodyshells. Prototyping Stadco have supplied prototypes and hand built cars to some of the world’s leading car makers. We offer prototyping and low volume manufacture, covering many materials and processes The facility is equipped with six individual CMM linked build plates and a 6m 5-axis milling centre. |
